Register Here
The Zoning Board of Adjustment hears appeals and requests for variances and special exceptions to zoning ordinances. As part of the due diligence and feasibility process, it is important to understand what steps developers should take when requesting a variance or special exception. Please join us as Bill Larson, former City of Wilmington ZBA Board Chair, explains how to navigate Wilmington’s ZBA process.
Topics will include:
- What to expect when going before the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA)?
- How should a developer prepare for the ZBA (i.e. community engagement, legal standards)?
- What are some common mistakes developers make when going before the ZBA?
- What can developers do to strengthen their presentation to the ZBA?
Kickstart Sessions complement the Jumpstart Wilmington program and offer information around specific topics related to the development process.
